The Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District Board consists of five elected members, who serve a four year term.

 

Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 5:15 pm.

NOTICE OF BOARD MEETING TO ADOPT 2021-2022 BUDGET

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District, County of Clatsop, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022, will be held at the Bob Chisholm Community Center, 1225 Ave. A Seaside, OR 97138. The meeting will take place on June 22, 2021 at 5:15pm. 

 

 A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained at the Sunset Pool, 1140 Broadway, Seaside, OR 97138. A copy of the document can be inspected or obtained on or after June 14, 2021 at the Sunset Pool (1140 Broadway, Seaside). 

A summary of the proposed changes: Additional funds have become available as a part of grants for Youth Program summer camp. Revenue has increased in aquatics with restrictions lifting and private lessons being offered. Special Events has secured additional revenue for the Farmer's Market to offset additional needs as determined by pandemic regulations from the CDC and OHA. Department expenses have increased as a result of grant expenses and personnel structure changing. The General Fund contingency has decreased to accommodate loan and R/M work on the Sunset Recreation Center.
