The Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District Board consists of five elected members, who serve a four year term.

 

Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 5:15 pm.

District 1: Susan Coddington, Board Secretary, Term Expires June 30, 2025

District 2: Celeste Bodner, Board Vice-President Term Expires June 30, 2025

District 3: Michael Hinton, Term Expires June 30, 2025

District 4: Kyle Gorman, Term Expires June 30, 2027

District 5: Katharine Parker, Board President, Term Expires on June 30, 2027

SEPRD Budget Committee Vacancies

The SEPRD Board is looking for two (2) Budget Committee Members to fill three- year terms on the Budget Committee beginning on the current budget process (2024-2025). 

Candidates must reside within District Boundaries and be available to meet on Budget Committee Meeting dates, tentatively scheduled for: 

- April 16

- May 7

Interested candidates should share their a "statement of interest" to Executive Director Skyler Archibald before the deadline of 5pm on Friday, March 1 via email at sarchibald@sunsetempire.com

Statements of interest can also be shared in person at the Sunset Pool (1140 Broadway). 

Candidates are encouraged but not required to provide a brief resume indicating their previous volunteer experience or other information as appropriate. 

Board of Directors Community Commitments

In October 2020, the SEPRD Board adopted the following commitments. The commitments are abbreviated below but the full text is available here.

1. Improve the Board's self-governance

4. Strengthen supervision and support for Executive Director

5. Improve communications, internally and externally

6. Communicate leadership's vision through a strategic plan

7. Ensure decorum, respectfulness, and dignity as we lead and represent the Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District.
