Middle School Program

Welcome to the Middle School Zone at the Seaside Youth Center!

This is a semi-structured program designed to encourage positive, independent decision making, socializing with peers, and having fun!

Participants will be actively involved in planning and creating activities for themselves and friends, enjoy a healthy snack and hang out with our SEPRD staff.

Our hang time will include basketball, pickle ball and field activities.  We have air hockey, ping pong, Kiwanis Builder Club, homework help, art projects, cooking projects and much more!  

The program runs from 3:15 pm-6:00 pm and begins one hour earlier on early-release Wednesdays.

Our program will be:

Monday-Art project, both open ended and directed

Tuesday-Mentorship opportunities within our After School Zone programs and hang time.

Wednesday-Cooking and life skills projects & Girl Circle

Thursday-Kiwanis Builder's Club, Boy's Line and hang time

Friday-Swimming and hang time


Daily Check-In/Out

Participants are responsible for signing themselves in and out of the program. However, if you do not want your child to leave on their own, please let program staff know and indicate it on our District Emergency Form.  

Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District staff provides oversight of program
activities and are present at all times.


Youth Pass

Monthly Pass $32 R/ $48 Non-Resident

3-Month Pass $80 R/ $120 Non-Resident

Annual Pass $200 R/ $300 Non-Resident

*Youth pass allows access to the Middle School Zone, Sunset Pool, Fitness Classes, Open Swims and Gym.
