2018 FALL PROGRAM GUIDE

The Fall Program Guide is your source for information on all district programs, activities, and events! Get your copy of the new guide now! 

Look for information on after-school camps for kindergarten and elementary school-aged children, preschool aged programming, Start Smart sports, and open swim days. There are fun activities for all ages!
 

 
FALL FUN FEST & SPOOKY SWIM

Saturday, October 20th, 2018, join us for a Halloween Celebration that has all kinds of fun for the whole family! 

From 3-6pm at Bob Chisholm Community Center is the Fall Fun Fest including carnival games, pumpkin decorating, cake walk, costume contest (@5pm), photo booth, snacks and much more!

Following the Carnival from 6-8pm at The Sunset Pool is The Spooky Swim! This open swim includes water games, treasure dive, prizes, snacks and tons of fun!

Cost is $2 or 2 cans of food (one time entry fee for both events). All food collected will be donated to South County Food Bank.



BEACH WHEELCHAIR PROGRAM

Debug Beach Wheelchair TmThe Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District is excited to offer our disabled visitors and residents the chance to gain access to the beach. The wheelchairs are available for a 4 hour period per user any time between 9:00am and 8:00pm Monday through Friday or 12:00pm through 5:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Click here for full details!

Please note that these chairs DO NOT fold down and will require either a pick-up truck or a van to transport them from our facility to one of the beach access points here in town. Click here for the actual dimensions of the wheelchair.


 
NOW HIRING LIFEGUARDS AND SWIM INSTRUCTORS

The Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District is looking for energetic candidates, either currently certified or willing to go through SEPRD's aquatic training program. The successful candidates will be able to perform the following, but are not limited to: swim 300 yards without stopping; swim 50 yards, rescue a victim and exit the deep end without using a ladder; tread water consecutively for 2 minutes; retrieve and surface a 10lb object; perform all lifesaving techniques required by the American Red Cross Lifeguard exam (all skills to be taught); and communicate effectively & positively. What better way to spend your Thanksgiving morning than exercising and spending time with family and friends! Join us for our annual Turkey Trot Family Fun Run/Walk in Seaside this fall season!

Date: November 22, 2018 - Thanksgiving Day 9:00 a.m.

Location: Quatat Park (behind Convention Center) 493 Oceanway, Seaside

Time: 9:00 a.m. - Day-of Registration opens at 8:00 a.m.

Includes: T-shirt (free)

Cost: $10 per person
